EPF opened a call for the creation of an online platform to host the Global Contraception Policy Atlas
The European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual and Reproductive Rights (EPF), a network of parliamentarians from across Europe committed to protecting sexual and reproductive health and rights, has opened a call for the creation of an online platform to host the Global Contraception Policy Atlas, to aggregate data on contraception worldwide. SOLOS was selected for the task.
This project differs from other websites we’ve developed in the past because it doesn’t have textual content per se, but functions as an interactive data display platform.
As such, in terms of data programming, we used a specific technology for this website. In the future, it is intended that this platform will host other atlases.
The result was a very solid platform, which provides information clearly and allows the user to absorb the information quickly. First you see the world map, and then you get into the details of each region and the chosen country.
We have also developed an extra feature that allows the user to compare two countries.
Because we had to create a visual universe that covered all the atlases and standardized the information on the platform, we also came up with a graphic identity proposal, for which we chose a neutral color palette, with whites and greys.
