The Portuguese Association of Women Jurists reached out to SOLOS regarding V-Day – International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women because they wanted us to create the brand’s image and materials for online promotion.
Year after year, women and girls mostly from civil society come together to present a reading of Eve Ensler’s play “The Vagina Monologues” as an act of resistance and strength within a global movement. In 2018, the play was on stage at the Cantina Velha Auditorium of the University of Lisbon and our challenge was to promote it.
Since V-day already had a brand, our strategy was to pick the essential elements of the brand’s design system and develop them to build an empowering narrative.
We then created the printed and online materials for the play, which exceeded all expectations and ended up being used to promote the date and not just the play as planned.
